Each Spring, the cherry blossoms return to DC along with the many blossom-themed Spring events across the city. One of my absolute favorite is the Rosé Romp at the ever timeless Willard InterContinental. The Willard InterContinental knows how to throw a party and it is nothing short of first class (check out my staycation at the Willard InterContinental here)!
When there is a rosé colored carpet welcoming you into the event, you know you are at the right place for a good time! Live music filled the air as we meandered through countless food stations: fresh scallops with a creamy risotto, fresh crepes filled with Nutella and bananas made to order, and the dessert station, my favorite, overflowing with edible pieces of art almost too pretty to eat…almost!
Magnums full of one of my favorite rosés, Whispering Angel, sat at the ready in massive ice buckets and the incredibly attentive and friendly staff saw to it that my glass was never empty. We were even treated to a private tasting from the winemaker himself! Don’t worry if you aren’t a rosé lover, there were plenty of other options including beer for those that prefer hops over grapes.
The Rosé Romp was an absolute blast and the perfect way to ring in Spring a huge thank you to the Willard InterContinental for providing this amazing experience! Make sure to get tickets early for next year!
