When packing for a Swiss summer getaway, it is so important to layer! The weather changes rapidly high up in the Alps. While visiting the Gornegrat near Zermatt in June, it actually began to snow (read about my trip to Zermatt here)! Swiss chic is all about your cozy knit sweaters, lambskin gloves, and wool hats. I don’t know about y’all, but I love the fall and winter and by mid-summer I am over the heat of DC! A summer trip to Switzerland was the perfect excuse to dig up all my warm gear from the back of my closet.
To complete my Swiss chic inspired outfit, I chose worn leather accessories to accent my wool cardigan and jeans. Included are these vintage leather Ralph Lauren belts (that I stole from my dad’s closet!), soft two tone leather gloves, and my never-leave-at-home hiking boots from Teva. Don’t forget to bring along a few hats to keep you warm as well: this one by an amazing Icelandic company called Farmers Market is always a go-to when traveling to cold climates.
