When Spicy Candy DC approached me to design a tablescape for their 6 year anniversary brunch, there was only one word that came to mind YES!!!! These two ladies are pioneers in DC’s blogging community and I couldn’t be more proud of all they have accomplished!
The inspiration for the table came from the guests’ take away gifts. These gorgeous roses are designed by Flower Luxe and are the perfect gift for any fashionista! They exude sophistication and style with a bit of whimsy thrown in, which I love! These were such a statement when lined up and I knew that they should double as the centerpieces.
I also wanted the tablescape to feel a bit glam and girly, so I started by layering a gold sequin tablecloth over the standard restaurant table. I chose simple white plates because there was so much going on with the flowers and tablecloth.
To tie in the tablecloth and plates, I opted for gold and white napkins (it is good to repeat colors or tones to make the whole table feel cohesive). And I always like to add something on each guests plate to make it feel more personal. I chose to give each guest a pink rose, which puled in the pink from the Flower Luxe boxes onto on each place setting.
Finally when having an anniversary brunch there must be FABULOUS champagne flutes to toast with. I tied in the gold again through the stemware. I gave both Carla and Katya (the hosts) a bit more glamorous champagne flutes than the rest of the guests to showcase it was their special day. TIP: don’t be afraid to mix and match stemware, plates, or silverware!
A huge congratulations to Spicy Candy DC and their six years. Here is to another wonderful six years yet to come!
